Based on the French graphic novel Du Plomb Dans La Tete, Stallone plays Jimmy Bobo, a hitman for hire whoteams up with an out of town cop Taylor Kwan (Sung Kang of Fast and Furious) to seek vengeance following the murder of their respective partners. The film is rife with corrupt cops, double crossings and gratuitous amounts of murderous vengeance. Despite its French origins, the film is set in modern day New Orleans. This allows the city itself to give great character and framing to the film, as well as affording a fantastic Southern Blues soundtrack.
